Jail traffic was steady over the weekend, and bookings reflected the usual variety of offenses, ranging from alcohol and theft to assault and drugs. Of the 79 booked, however, only two were arrested for driving while intoxicated: one on Friday and one on Saturday. Both of those individuals had consumed well over the legal limit and were booked in for driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 or greater.
Public intoxication remained the most frequent charge over the weekend, accounting for one booking on Friday, four on Saturday and another three on Sunday. Another seven individuals were jailed for assault, including two on Friday, three on Saturday and two on Sunday. Possession of a controlled substance followed with five total bookings, while marijuana possession accounted for four. There were also two people charged with theft, two charged with resisting arrest, and one charged with aggravated robbery.
Friday was the slowest day with regard to bookings, when 23 new inmates were logged into the facility. Twenty-five inmates were released on Friday.
On Saturday, the bookings rose to 29, while releases dropped down to 16.
Sunday saw 27 inmates booked into the jail and another 17 released.
