Over half of the 23 men and women booked into the county jail on Wednesday were charged with offenses allegedly committed within the past 24 hours. The charges were diverse and each saw two individuals put behind bars for: theft, possession, assault, public intoxication, DWI and marijuana possession.
Warrant arrests included 18-year-old Clayton Thomas Kitchens, who was accused of indecency with a child sexual contact, and 36-year-old Jeremy Dale Reese, who has been indicted for injury to a child/elderly/disabled person with intentional bodily injury.
Twenty-five inmates were released on Wednesday.
