Twenty-four individuals were booked into the county jail on Wednesday, the majority arrested on outstanding warrants or court-ordered commitments. Of the the newcomers to the population, eight were booked for offenses alleged to have been committed within the past 24 hours, which included one 53-year-old man charged with indecent exposure.
According to police, the elderly man was standing on the porch of his residence on Wednesday night when two women, out for an evening stroll, became alarmed when they noticed that he was wearing no pants. The women diverted their path to other side of the street and the man ran outside, re-emerging as they began to pass the house and running at a trash can. The women were alarmed, police said, and contacted dispatch to report the odd behavior. The man was arrested at the residence and taken to jail. Whether or not the he acted out of malice or due to a mental health issue has not been reported due to health information privacy laws, which prohibit authorities from disclosing information on an individual's mental or medical status.
In addition to the 53-year-old, three individuals were jailed for assault on Wednesday, as well as one man for public intoxication. Robert Jimmy Blanco, Jr., who was arrested on a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon along with Anthony Andrew Baca and Marc Asevedo, was also caught with drugs and was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
Twenty-eight individuals were released on Wednesday.
