Half of Thursday Jail Influx Booked on Warrants

 

Five individuals were booked into the county correctional facility for marijuana possession Thursday, the leading complaint on the day's booking report. Exactly half of those jailed had been booked on complaints pertaining to offenses alleged to have been committed within the last 24 hours, the other half picked up on warrants. 

Many of the complaints were minor infractions, however among those were two individuals, one jailed for driving while intoxication and one charged with theft. Warrant arrests ranged from those issued for public intoxication and theft to contempt of court and issuing bad checks. H

Twenty-six individuals were booked into the county jail on Thursday, while 35 were released
