The graffiti artist who vandalized Central High School (CHS) and was caught with meth and marijuana in May 2014 was sentenced to 111 days of jail time Monday.
Jeremiah Mendez Sosa, 19, illegally spray-painted the word "peace" on a CHS building in May. When the police arrived at his residence to serve a warrant for the crime, they discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Sosa was charged with felony graffiti on a school, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He then served time in the county jail from May 29 to June 7.
Sosa was officially charged with the state jail felony graffiti and possession charges in June last year, and on Feb. 10, pled guilty in exchange for five years deferred adjudication probation.

Nine days after entering his plea, Sosa failed to report to his probation officer and failed to notify the corresponding agency of his change of address. A violation report was subsequently filed, followed by the state's motion to revoke (MTR) probation on March 24.
Sosa's MTR was heard on Monday in Judge Tom Gossett's court. In exchange for a plea of "true", Sosa was convicted of both felonies and sentenced to 300 days each for the graffiti and the possession charge, both of which will be served concurrently. Sosa will receive credit for time served since May of last year, however, reducing his sentence to 111 days. He has also been ordered to pay off the remaining balance of his original restitution sum.
