A 29-year-old San Angelo man was put behind bars yesterday after police K9 Vader sniffed out meth during a traffic stop.
Officers located a baggie containing over three grams of meth in the vehicle and charged Sanchez with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony. If convicted, he could face five to 99 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. Sanchez is currently being held against a $15,000 bond.
On Thursday, 15 inmates total were booked into the county jail, 9 of which were charged with offenses alleged to have been committed within the last 24 hours. Some of those offenses included two people charged with theft, two accused of public intoxication and two charged with driving drunk, one of which had a BAC of 0.15. Another individual was jailed for assault.
Warrant arrests included forgery, assault and 53-year-old Joel Rodriguez Robledo, who was indicted in April for intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury.
Twenty inmates were released on Thursday.
