Grape Creek Teacher Turns Herself in for Relationship with Student

A 25-year-old Grape Creek English teacher was booked into the county jail this morning following an investigation into an inappropriate relationship between herself and a teenage male student.

According to a complaint filed with the case, the investigation into first-year teacher Allison Lewallen began on Feb. 12, when Grape Creek High School principal Roger Henderson summoned the sheriff’s department based on a conversation he had heard between the teacher and student as they sat alone in her classroom.  Assistant principal Carla Barron had witnessed the two entering the room and flicked on the intercom, where she and Henderson listened to a conversation they believed suggestive.

In the conversation over the intercom, Barron said she heard Lewallen tell the student that she “did not want it to end this way” multiple times, in between mumbles and sobbing. Barron said she heard both Lewallen and the student crying.

During the conversation, Barron reported, the student asked Lewallen, “so I will be passing?” At the end of the conversation, the report said, Barron overheard the student telling Lewallen that he loved her.

When questioned about the relationship, Lewallen told Henderson that she and the teen were just friends. She also reportedly told the principal that the young man had called her drunk asking for a ride home, and his parents told investigators that he had been out partying a lot recently.

According to the report, the student told the principal that he cared about Mrs. Lewallen but that they were just friends. Henderson pressed, relaying information he overheard over the intercom. Henderson said the student broke down crying and admitted that he and Lewallen did have sexual relations, the report states.

The investigation has continued since February, and on Friday morning, May 22, Allison Lewallen turned herself in at 9:34 a.m. She was booked on one count of improper relationship between educator/student, a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $20k.

She is a pedophile rapist!!! This is the rape culture on our campuses. Not at a college frat party!!! its in our middle and high schools. These women are supposed to be teaching our kids not having sex with them!

This girl (she's in her mid twenties) has ruined her life. She was in her First year of teaching, and a newlywed. Now, she'll get a divorce, go to prison, be a registered sex offender, and work at Burger king when she gets out. And it was really just pure dumb luck that she got caught.

The student was 18 at the time so she is not a pedophile rapist and will not be a registered sex offender if found guilty. Her days teaching will be done though.
