Haughton Dean Laurence was apparently disappointed with the service at Super Motel Sunday morning at half-past midnight, when he is reported to have entered the front office and threatened the desk clerk with a gun demanding fresh towels and that his room be cleaned.
According to San Angelo Police, officers were dispatched to the motel after Laurence, 34, had left the front offfice. The employee working the desk reported to responding officers that an intoxicated man had come in demanding his room be cleaned and asking for towels, pulling a gun and threatening to shoot.
When officers arrived, Laurence was located standing outside his hotel room and a gun was found inside. He was subsequently arrested for public intoxication and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. If convicted, Laurence could face two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
