Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing her Boyfriend

A 24-year-old San Angelo woman was arrested this weekend after she stabbed her 31-year-old boyfriend at a residence in an east San Angelo neighborhood.

Police were sent to a residence in the 700 block of McCann Street just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, initial officer K. Green entered the residence and located a man suffering from an apparent stab wound to the abdomen. Officer Green provided first aid until San Angelo Fire Department medics arrived. The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center where he later underwent surgery. The extent of his injuries and current medical condition is unknown.

Witnesses at the scene told police the suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Destiney Baker, had fled the residence after stabbing the man. Additional patrol officers and two K9 teams arrived to the area and quickly established a perimeter. Just prior to the K9 teams’ track, officers were being told information about Baker’s possible whereabouts when one of the witnesses began to yell and scream that Baker was on the side of the house. Several officers ran to the area and located Baker hiding underneath some bushes. Baker was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters for questioning before transport to the Tom Green County Jail.

Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigations Division and CSI Technicians were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. CSI processed the scene for evidence and subsequently located the alleged knife used in the stabbing.

During the investigation, police learned the stabbing occurred as the result of a verbal altercation between Baker and the victim, who are said to be in a relationship.

Baker was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence. This is an ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time.  Detectives L. Dye is the lead investigator.

Great reporting Ms Reinhard. Very interesting.

She looks rather happy, (maybe amused, or perhaps *satisfied* is the right word,) for someone who has been apprehended by police and accused of stabbing her boyfriend. These are the kinds of events that come into my mind when Feminists speak about anything. If you've never dated a woman who was willing to stab you, you don't really grasp how much power women naturally have over their lives and bodies - especially in Western world. It might sound comically absurd to put it that way, but it can be difficult to overcome the illusions of one's culture in a visceral way until you encounter, in a direct way, that which can overturn them.

All that being said, I really wish this poor fellow had dodged better. You can't make up if you don't wake up. This one was more spice than sugar, and not so nice, it seems.

I prefer to think that her hair turned red from pure rage. "The true man wants two things: danger and play. For that reason he wants woman, as the most dangerous plaything." - Friedrich Nietzsche

This is not a good trend, though. Or a good act. I hope this man is okay and that, if guilty, this woman can get some kind of help.
