Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are searching for a man who stabbed a fellow restaurant patron during a fight at a local Whataburger over the weekend.
Just after 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Whataburger restaurant located at 1830 N Bryant Boulevard for the report of a fight.
Upon arrival, officers learned a stabbing occurred after a fight erupted between two groups of patrons who were arguing about their food orders.
The victim of the stabbing, a 24- year-old man from Winters, was no longer at the scene. He was located a short time later in a parking lot near the 2000 block of N. Bryant Boulevard and treated at a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries to his leg and buttocks. His current condition is unknown.
Witnesses told police the two groups of patrons ran off after learning restaurant staff called the police. Neither the suspect nor his group was located. The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-20s, with medium length curly hair and gauged ear-piercings.
No arrests have been made. This is an ongoing investigation.
