Laredo Counselor Accused of Indecency with a Child Added to Texas 10 Most Wanted List

A 25-year-old woman with ties to Laredo and Mexico has been added to the Texas Department of Public Safety's Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list, and a cash reward of $5,000 is now being offered for information leading to her capture.

Iris Iliana Rodriguez  is wanted by authorities for having had improper contact with a juvenile victim on multiple occasions. The initial contact is believed to have occurred while Rodriguez  was working as a counselor for a CAPS (Child, Adolescent and Parent Services) program in Laredo. She later became employed at the Border Region Behavioral Health Center in Laredo as a CAPS Counselor, which allowed her to visit the victim at school under the pretext of offering guidance and support for the child's behavioral issues.

On Jan. 22, 2015, the Webb County Sheriff's Office issued warrants for Rodriguez's  arrest for three counts of indecency with a child, one count of unlawful restraint and three counts of harassment. When law enforcement officials arrived at   Rodriguez's  residence to arrest her, they discovered she had absconded. It is believed that she fled in order to avoid prosecution.

Rodriguez has strong ties to Laredo and Mexico. She has previously been employed as a counselor in the Laredo area. For more information and updates in the event of her arrest, please view her wanted bulletin online. She is considered armed and dangerous.

Rodriguez is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has a scar on her leg and shoulder.
