Alcohol-Related Charges Remain High Through Weekend

 

Eight individuals accused of being intoxicated got behind the wheel over the weekend. Their rides were put to an end by law enforcement officers who transported them to the county jail, where they were booked on DWI charges. 

The bookings began at 3:17 a.m. on Friday, when troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety brought in 22-year-old Alfredo Nieves Padilla and charged him with driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon. 

Also on Friday, 28-year-old Noe Ramon Montes, Jr. was booked on three motions to revoke probation on three counts of indecency with a child sexual contact. View all of Friday's bookings here. Follow this link to Friday's releases

On Saturday, the TxDPS brought in three more accused of drunk driving, beginning with 27-year-old Jorge Alberto Perez, who was booked at 12:53 a.m. for DWI with a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 or greater, or twice the legal limit. Perez was joined by 34-year-old Joshua Allen Henderson at 1:39 a.m., who was booked on his second DWI offense, and 41-year-old Shane Douglas Baker at 1:09 a.m., who was booked on his third or greater DWI offense, possession of marijuana, and driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

Sunday saw a slew of alcohol-related charges, including six jailed for public intoxication and another three booked for DWI or DUI. Another individual, 20-year-old Alexander Borrego, was booked into the county jail on charges of evading arrest, misrepresentation of age by a minor, and minor in consumption of alcohol.

Joining Borrego in jail on Sunday was 31-year-old Robert Michael Lechwar, Jr., who was booked at 1:32 a.m. by the DPS for his second DWI. In addition, 36-year-old Richard Anthony Luna was booked by the DPS at 3:18 a.m. for DWI, and 20-year-old Collin Paul Lawdermilk was booked for minor driving under the influence by the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office at 12:06 p.m.

Also on Sunday's bookings report were four theft charges, three assaults, one person charged with terroristic threats, one charged with marijuana possession and one picked up for a warrant on one charge each of manufacture/delivery, possession and fleeing a police officer. 

Twenty-four inmates were booked total on Sunday, while 26 were released.
