Law Enforcement Books Four Charged with Child Crimes

 

Local law enforcement agencies picked up four men on allegations of crimes involving children this week, ranging from pornography to aggravated sexual assault. 

On Tuesday, 21-year-old Peter Rivera Casarez was picked up by the Sheriff's Office on capias warrants for three counts of possession with intent to promote child pornography. Casarez was indicted on the three counts on Feb. 2, and was booked into the county jail at 12:28 p.m. Jail records show that Casarez was released on Feb. 19 on personal recognizance, but is on adult probation until his court date. On Wednesday, the San Angelo Police arrested and booked 17-year-old Juan Gerardo Verdugo on a warrant for indecency with a child exposure. Records indicate that the offense occurred on Nov. 28, and the victim was an 10-year-old girl. View Wednesday's releases here.

Thursday two individuals were booked for child crimes, including 28-year-old Thomas Boden, arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child, and 20-year-old Michael Ray Flores, who was booked for sexual assault of a child. Boden was picked up by the sheriff's deputies and was booked into the jail at 12:16 p.m. Records indicate the alleged offense occurred on Jan. 1. Flores was booked by the SAPD at 12:35 p.m. Records indicate the alleged offense occurred on Oct. 24 and the victim was a 16-year-old female. 

Also booked on Thursday were three charged with DWI, three charged with marijuana possession, three accused of PI, one charged with assault, one charged with accident causing injury and two charged with theft. 

Twenty-four inmates were released on Thursday.
