A U.S. Border Patrol agent assigned to the Carrizo Springs Border Patrol Station was involved in a shooting yesterday wherein an undocumented alien sustained a gunshot wound, according to a statement released by the Del Rio Sector of the CBP.
The incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m. yesterday in a rural area. The subject was transported to a San Antonio hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Agents from CBP Internal Affairs, Texas Rangers, and the Del Rio Office of the FBI are investigating.
