There was a good representation of high crimes in the county jail Tuesday, when 34 inmates were booked on multiple and varying charges.
A large portion of those taking up temporary residence in the county correctional facility were booked on committments, or court-ordered periods of confinement in which inmates show up at the jail and commit themselves for a set number of days.
Of those jailed on committments, one checked in for aggravated robbery, one for deadly conduct (gunfire), one for an accident involving serious bodily injury or death, and one for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Additionally, one inmate was also committed for DWI, three for possession, one for marijuana in bulk, and one person with three counts of theft.
The remainder of those jailed were booked on warrants and fresh charges, many of which had a combination of the two.
In total there were four counts of theft and assault, three of marijuana and DWI, two counts of possession, and one count of public intoxication, forgery, evading arrest and car theft.
Twelve inmates were released on Tuesday.
