Police Nab Two Suspects in Apartment Burglary Wednesday Night

 

San Angelo police and a brave citizen thwarted a burglary of an apartment in the Bellagio Apartments, 2508 Sweetbriar, Wednesday night at just before 6 p.m.

According to police on the scene, the incident was originally reported to them as a robbery. A witness saw the burglary happen and was instrumental in catching the thieves.

Police said that the witness chased one of the suspects, helping police locate and eventually apprehend him. A second suspect was caught a short time later. “One of the suspects had gloves on,” police said. Police said that there was a report that a weapon was seen, but as of last night at 10 p.m., no guns or knives were found.

Police further said that no one was threatened with a weapon.

The occupant of the apartment desired to press charges last night and police are continuing their investigation.
