Just before 1:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, San Angelo Police Patrol Officer C. Bradshaw conducted a traffic stop on a grey, 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 3100 block of Patrick Street for an equipment violation. The vehicle was occupied by three people.
When Officer Bradshaw made contact with the driver, he observed an empty gun holster near the driver’s seat. Officer Bradshaw asked if there were any weapons inside the vehicle and the driver advised there was a gun.
During a consent search of the vehicle, Officer Bradshaw located a handgun, a bladed weapon, a club, drug paraphernalia, and a substance that field tested positive for approximately 13.6 grams of methamphetamine.
The driver, identified as 31-year-old Devin Barratt of San Angelo, was arrested for Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and Unlawful Carrying Weapon. He was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
A back passenger, 29-year-old Randle Bradford of Christoval, was arrested for State Jail Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 after police located approximately .5 grams of methamphetamine in his clothing. Shortly after his arrest, Bradford requested medical treatment. Bradford was transported to Shannon Medical Center for evaluation. Once released from medical care, Bradford was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
A 32-year-old female passenger was not charged and was released at the scene.
