*UPDATED* Police Seek Witnesses to Hit and Run at Midnight Rodeo

 

Jan.16, at approximately 2:18 a.m., San Angelo Police responded to San Angelo Community Medical Center for the report of a Hit & Run victim being treated in the Emergency Room.

Reporting officers met with the male victim, a 27-year-old San Angelo resident, who was being treated for severe injuries he sustained to his leg area as the result of being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Midnight Rodeo located at 2581 Sunset Drive.

During the investigation, police learned the victim and two witnesses were walking in the parking lot near the entrance of the bar when the vehicle struck the victim. Witnesses told police that the driver, who did not stop after hitting the victim, fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses said the vehicle sped away around the back of Midnight Rodeo towards Knickerbocker Road before they lost sight of it near Loop 306.

Witnesses told police the driver was a white male with dark hair, possibly in his mid 20s, with some dark facial hair. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored ballcap. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white Ford F-150 4x4.

The suspect’s truck may or may not have minor damage to the front right area. Update: Jan. 17, 1:19 p.m.

According to Officer Quade, the victim is still being treated at the hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown. The suspect has not been identified and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
