‘Addicted to Scary Stuff’ Highlander Survives Intersection Scare in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — A Toyota Highlander with a rear window decal reading “Addicted to Scary Sh**” lived up to its slogan Friday after a close encounter with a Cadillac Escalade at the intersection of West Twohig Avenue and South Koenigheim Street.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. According to an officer with the San Angelo Police Department’s Traffic Unit, the black Escalade failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and entered the intersection, colliding with the white Highlander.

Both drivers were alone in their vehicles. The Highlander driver reported minor pain but declined a hospital trip, while the Escalade driver was uninjured.

Police cited the Escalade driver for failure to yield. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
