WATCH: Firefighters Battle San Angelo House Fire

SAN ANGELO, TX — A house fire on Archer Street sent heavy flames and thick smoke into the air Thursday afternoon, drawing a full response from the San Angelo Fire Department. 

The blaze broke out around 12:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Archer Street near Veck Street. Video obtained by San Angelo LIVE! shows firefighters working to knock down flames that had engulfed the home.

Crews were observed attacking the fire from multiple angles as smoke poured across the neighborhood. Neighbors reported hearing what could have been small explosions from propane tanks, though that detail has not been confirmed by officials. Firefighters on scene were seen taking precautions around the area.

As of early Thursday afternoon, the fire had been brought under control. No injuries were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
