2 Drivers Hospitalized After Monday Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two drivers were hospitalized Monday evening after a crash at Sherwood Way and Sunset Drive involving a black Kia that failed to yield while turning left, the police said.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. when the Kia attempted a left turn and collided with a Ram dually pickup towing a trailer in the intersection, according to police at the scene. That sent the dually into a nearby traffic pole.

Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center downtown with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Firefighters, police and other emergency personnel responded to the scene, and traffic was temporarily affected while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
