Driver Cited After Running Stop Sign, Causing Crash That Damaged Utility Pole

SAN ANGELO, TX – A driver was cited after running a stop sign and causing a two-vehicle crash that also damaged a utility pole in San Angelo on Friday morning, according to police.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Guadalupe Street and North Park Street. A silver Ford failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a black Ford before it struck a utility pole.

The pole was initially believed to belong to AEP but was later identified as a Verizon Wireless pole.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but all individuals involved were checked on and did not require hospitalization.

Authorities confirmed the driver of the silver Ford was issued a citation for the traffic violation. Tow trucks removed both vehicles from the scene.
