Semi-Truck Crash Causes Power Outages in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — A semi-truck crashed into a utility pole Tuesday evening, knocking out power to more than 800 customers near the intersection of Sherwood Way and Arden Road.

The crash left several businesses without electricity around 7:30 p.m. AEP Texas’ outage map estimated that power would be restored by 10 p.m.

The San Angelo Police Department issued a Nixle alert advising drivers to avoid the area, as all lanes of traffic were closed following the crash.

Further details on the cause of the crash or possible injuries were not immediately available.
