Firefighters Douse Smoking Vehicle After Three-Car Crash on South Bell

SAN ANGELO, TX – Firefighters worked to douse smoke coming from a vehicle following a three-car crash Thursday night at the intersection of South Bell Street and Rio Concho Drive.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where a white Chevrolet Avalanche, a black Ford pickup, and a gray Ford SUV were involved in the crash. Firefighters used a hose to address smoke coming from one of the vehicles as paramedics assisted those injured.

At least two people were transported to a hospital, and initial emergency dispatch audio stated that one individual had been trapped before being freed. The severity of the injuries remains unknown.

The crash shut down the northbound lanes of South Bell Street across the Concho River, with one southbound lane also closed.
