WATCH: Car Chase Ends at Midland Airport, Briefly Disrupts Flights

MIDLAND, TX – A stolen vehicle pursuit that started in downtown Midland ended at the Midland International Air and Space Port, temporarily disrupting airport operations.

The chase began when authorities located a stolen vehicle off Highway 1788. The Midland County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety pursued the suspect until the chase escalated near the airport, where a fence was damaged. The Midland Police Department then took over the pursuit, resulting in an MPD patrol car sustaining damage.

One flight was reportedly delayed for around 5-10 minutes.

The suspect was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
