Sexagenarian Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Grape Creek

GRAPE CREEK, TX — A 62-year-old man sustained a hand injury following a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 87 North near Ballard Road on Friday evening.

The crash happened near the bridge between Floyd Lane and Ballard Road, just north of Grape Creek. Emergency dispatch audio stated that the vehicle collided with a guardrail, causing damage to the structure. Emergency responders on the scene assessed the driver’s injuries, and it was indicated on the scanner that he may have additional injuries beyond the hand injury.

Further details on the cause of the crash remain under investigation. The injured individual was transported to the hospital. No other vehicles were involved.
