WATCH: Suspect Detained After Crash on Loop 306 and US 87

SAN ANGELO, TX – A suspect was detained Wednesday evening following a crash at the intersection of Loop 306 and U.S. 87.

The collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles, a silver sedan and a white SUV. Westbound traffic at the intersection was shut down as emergency crews worked at the scene.

An ambulance responded to the crash, but it is unclear if anyone sustained injuries. Authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect will be booked into the Tom Green County Jail.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and the Wall Volunteer Fire Department.
