Ghastly Wipeout Crash Caught on Camera

BIG SPRING, TX — A trucker was driving on the Andrews Highway (TX-176) eastbound towards Big Spring when his dashboard-mounted camera caught this crash on film.

At about 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, a white Ram 2500 was passing two truck tractors towing semi trailers with a Jeep between them. When the white pickup was at a high rate of speed in the oncoming lane conducting the passing maneuver, the lead semi turned left onto a another road. With the jeep beside the Ram and the truck cutting off the oncoming lane, the Ram driver had nowhere to go but to smash into the lead semi trailer.

The witness who filmed the crash, Tyler Davis, stopped to render aid. He said the Big Spring police responded. There were no major injuries. In fact, Davis said, those in the crash vehicles were seen walking around the crash scene.
