Unlit Trailer Blocking Highway Struck South of Wink

 

WINK, TX -- A driver suffered minor injuries early Thursday when a passenger truck struck the rear of a trailer blocking South State Highway 115 about three miles south of Wink, the Winkler County Sheriff’s Office reported. 

Deputies were responding to a report of a commercial motor vehicle stopped in the roadway with no lights displayed when the collision occurred, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver of the passenger truck was the only person reported injured. 

Winkler County sheriff’s deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the scene. The highway has since reopened, and the scene has been cleared, the sheriff’s office stated.
