SAN ANGELO, TX — A man riding an electric bicycle suffered a broken leg with bone protruding through the skin Monday morning after a turning car struck him, San Angelo police said.
It happened at about 8 a.m. at the intersection of State Street and Paint Rock Road near Goodfellow Air Force Base. A red Buick traveling east on Paint Rock Road was turning left onto State Street when it cut the corner and struck the cyclist, who was stopped at a red light, a cop told San Angelo LIVE!.
The man was taken to the hospital. No citations had been issued as of Monday morning, the officer said.
