ABILENE, TX — A Merkel man died Tuesday when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Abilene.
Taryn Daniel Collins, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Abilene Police Department.
The crash occurred about 2 p.m. at the intersection of South 9th and Barrow streets.
Police stated that a Nissan Murano turned in front of Collins, who struck the driver’s side door. It was noted he was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
