3 Killed, 3 Injured in Crash Outside Stanton

 

STANTON, TX — Three Stanton residents were killed Wednesday in a crash on an Interstate 20 service road in Martin County.

According to a DPS report, the three individuals were traveling eastbound in a Lincoln Corsair when they attempted to enter the interstate’s on-ramp.

A Ford Explorer traveling west failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a head-on collision.

The driver, a 42-year-old woman named Debra Ramirez, was pronounced dead at the scene, along with a 14-year-old female passenger.

A third victim, a 16-year-old female, was pronounced dead at Martin County Hospital.

The three occupants of the Ford were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital. Two of them had injuries described as serious, while a third was treated for minor injuries.

The small town of Stanton is located about 90 miles northwest of San Angelo.
