Crash Shuts Down Traffic at Irving, Avenue L

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash largely blocked the intersection of Avenue L and Irving Street late Monday morning.

The crash occurred at about 11:45 a.m. when a Chrysler minivan traveling north on Irving failed to yield the right of way to a Ford Ranger driving east on Avenue L, according to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department.

Despite significant damage to both vehicles, all of the occupants managed to avoid being taken to the hospital.

Traffic was closed down at the intersection with no vehicles being able to travel west on Avenue L or cross over at Irving. There was one westbound lane of traffic still open on Avenue L.

The driver of the Chrysler was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
