San Angelo Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle, Taken to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX — A pedestrian was hit while illegally crossing a roadway Tuesday in San Angelo.

The incident occurred about 11:55 a.m. near the intersection of Avenue N and South Bryant Boulevard.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, the woman crossed Avenue N where there was no crosswalk while walking from TitleMax to McDonald’s.

A Dodge Ram traveling east on Avenue N struck the woman, who was pushed into another lane of traffic but managed to avoid being hit by any other vehicles.

She was able to get up on her own and walk to McDonald’s, where she was eventually loaded into an ambulance with a head injury.

The officer said he didn’t believe her injuries were life threatening.

The pedestrian will be cited for failure to yield the right of way to traffic.
