Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Houston Harte Expressway

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash involving four vehicles has closed eastbound traffic on the Houston Harte Expressway on Monday morning.

The crash occurred about 8:15 a.m. near Arden Road.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, the driver of a Ford F-150 failed to control his speed as he approaching backed-up traffic near the Glenna Street exit.

The F-150 crashed into the back of a Ford Explorer, which was then pushed into another F-150. After those three vehicles collided, a Nissan Sentra then failed to control its speed and ran into the back of the F-150 that initially caused the crash.

Despite all of the vehicles involved on a high-speed road, there were no reported injuries, according to the officer.

Traffic has been reduced to one lane and vehicles are being forced to exit at Glenna Street.

The driver of the F-150 that caused the crash will be given a citation for failure to control speed.

A crash involving at least three vehicles — all of which had to be towed — has closed eastbound traffic on the Houston Harte Expressway on Monday morning.
