74-Year-Old Woman Killed in Taylor County Crash

TYE, TX — A 74-year-old Tye woman was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on the south service road of Interstate 20 in Taylor County, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported.

Anna Louise McGuire of Tye died after the 7:12 a.m. crash near exit 274. She was pronounced deceased at 11:32 a.m. at Hendrick North by Dr. Branden Kret, according to a DPS preliminary investigation.

A 14-year-old female juvenile passenger from Tye in McGuire’s vehicle was transported to Hendrick North with serious bodily injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the second vehicle, Tristan Andrew Harding, 22, of Weatherford, sustained minor injuries and was also taken to Hendrick North. He was wearing a seatbelt.

DPS said McGuire was driving a 2006 Hyundai Electra westbound on the south service road of IH-20, approaching the yield sign at exit 274. Harding was driving a 2024 Kia Forte eastbound on IH-20 and attempting to exit at 274 when McGuire failed to yield the right of way, resulting in the collision.

Weather conditions were clear, the road was dry and the posted speed limit was 55 mph.
