SAN ANGELO, TX — A dog running into traffic Monday caused one person to be taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred about 11:30 a.m. near the five-way intersection of Beauregard Avenue, College Hills Boulevard and Avenue N.

A man was traveling in the 3000 block of West Beauregard when he crashed his scooter into a dog that ran into the roadway from a nearby residence.

The man reportedly flipped over the handle bars and was lying in the street when first responders arrived.

A reporter on scene observed the man being loaded onto a stretcher and taken away by ambulance.

The crash took place just before the traffic light and blocked traffic from both directions on Beauregard.
