Abilene Woman, Child Killed in Crash Near Eula

 

EULA, TX — A 36-year-old Abilene woman and an 11-year-old child were killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday outside the small town of Eula.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the car carrying the two victims was headed south on FM 603 when the driver disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of State Highway 36.

When the car entered the roadway, it was struck by a semi truck.

The driver, identified as Kaley Demasters, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The child died while in transport to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

The driver of the semi truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at the hospital.

Weather was not a factor in the crash.
