Two Drivers Injured in Winkler County Crash Involving Semi-Truck and Utility Truck

 

KERMIT, TX — Two drivers were injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle collision involving a commercial motor vehicle and a utility truck on State Highway 302 in Winkler County, the Winkler County Sheriff's Office reported. 

The crash occurred at the intersection of westbound State Highway 302 and FM 1232. Both drivers were entrapped and required extrication by Winkler County Sheriff's Office deputies and Winkler Volunteer Fire Department personnel. 

The drivers were transported by Winkler County EMS for treatment of injuries. The extent of the injuries was not immediately disclosed. 

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are on scene investigating the crash. 

The westbound lane of State Highway 302 was reported to be closed, with traffic alternating in the eastbound lane.

The sheriff's office issued the accident alert at approximately 6:35 p.m.
