Cyclist Taken to Hospital After Being Hit by Car

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A cyclist was taken to a hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a car in a residential neighborhood.

The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Armstrong and 18th streets.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, a motorist became impatient while driving behind a cyclist heading south on Armstrong.

When the motorist crossed the double yellow lines to pass him, the cyclist also turned left and was hit by the car.

The motorist received a citation for crossing the double yellow lines.
