UPDATE: 2 People Taken to Hospital After Crash on Sherwood Way

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash at the intersection of Sherwood Way and FM 2288 on Wednesday morning caused two people to be taken to the hospital.

The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m. when one driver appeared to disregard a red light.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, including one who fell out of her moving vehicle when her door opened during the collision, according to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department.

The crash locked down traffic at the busy intersection while first responders cleared the scene.

Airbags went off in both vehicles — a blue Ford Exhibition and a black Dodge SUV — as each remained in the roadway after the crash.
