SAN ANGELO, TX— A major crash was called Wednesday afternoon where a motorcyclist collided with a Suburban that had children inside.
Around 3:45 p.m., a major crash was called at the intersection of Ben Ficklin Road and South Bryant Boulevard. According to reporters on scene, a motorcycle and a Chevy Suburban were involved and traffic was diverted down Ben Ficklin Road.
Officers on scene said the motorcycle was traveling south on South Bryant Boulevard and the Chevy Suburban was sitting at the red light on Ben Ficklin Road. The woman driving the Suburban failed to yield the right of way and pulled out to drive north on South Bryant Boulevard. The driver of the motorcycle had to “lay it down” to try and avoid a crash but failed to do so.
The motorcyclist did not want to be transported to the hospital and neither the woman driver nor the children were injured. A citation will be issued for failure to yield the right of way to the driver of the Suburban and others could be issued as well.
