Police: Avoid Sherwood Way and Johnson After Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police are asking drivers to avoid the intersection of Sherwood Way and Johnson Street following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

According to an advisory issued at 4:38 p.m. by the San Angelo Police Department, traffic in the area is being diverted as emergency crews respond to the scene.

Photos from the scene show San Angelo police officers and firefighters assisting at least one person from a white Ford Explorer that collided with a white Nissan Murano near the intersection. One person from the Explorer went to the hospital for non-incapacitating injuries. Shortly after, another ambulance was called to the scene after the driver of the Nissan complained of head pain. She was then also transported to the hospital.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes until the area reopens.
