Head-On Crash Shuts Down North Bell Street

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash shut down all lanes of traffic on North Bell Street on Thursday afternoon in San Angelo.

The crash occurred about 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of North Bell Street and Old Ballinger Highway.

It involved a head-on collision between a white Kia Soul and a grey Nissan Frontier pickup truck.

The Kia was headed north on Bell Street and failed to obey a yield sign at Old Ballinger Highway, according to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital. He was complaining of chest pain after the crash, according to scanner traffic.

The driver of the Kia will be cited for failure to yield the right of way, the officer stated.
