Crash on US 87 Outside San Angelo Sends 1 to Hospital

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 87 just north of San Angelo on Friday sent one person to the hospital.

The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. where the highway intersects with Dilley Road between San Angelo and Grape Creek.

One person was observed leaving the scene in an ambulance after the crash, which sent a black SUV careening into the median. A red pickup truck suffered front-end damage.

A volunteer firefighter was reportedly at the scene immediately after the crash, helping people out of one of the vehicles.

Traffic heading into San Angelo was shut down to one lane.
