Rear-End Crash on Open Stretch of Knickerbocker

SAN ANGELO, TX — A rear-end crash on the open stretch of Knickerbocker Road near the Red Bluff Road intersection disrupted traffic Thursday afternoon as emergency crews responded.

The crash happened a little before 6 p.m. when a red sedan struck a silver-colored minivan from behind.

San Angelo police, firefighters, and medics arrived on the scene. Several children were in the minivan, and one was requested to be evaluated. No injuries were reported, and all individuals declined transport.

Police cited the driver of the sedan for failure to control speed. The vehicle sustained front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The van was able to drive away.

Traffic was temporarily reduced while first responders cleared the roadway. All lanes were reopened shortly after.
