Parked Vehicle Strikes Again in San Angelo Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX — In what seems to be a common incident lately in San Angelo, a resident was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred about 1 p.m. in the 200 block of Van Zandt Street when an elderly woman driving a Toyota 4Runner struck a parked vehicle.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, the woman was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-incapacitating injuries.

The officer said he wasn’t sure if a medical issue caused the crash. If not, the woman will be cited for failure to control speed.

The parked vehicle that was hit was parked the wrong way, the officer noted, but the owner was not cited.
