CARLSBAD, TX — Emergency crews responded shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday to a serious one-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 87 just northwest of Carlsbad.
A silver vehicle struck a guardrail before flipping onto its roof in the median near Dunham Road. All airbags were deployed inside the vehicle. No other vehicles were involved.
Photos from the scene show the vehicle upside down with heavy front-end damage as emergency responders from multiple agencies, including fire, EMS, and law enforcement, worked the scene.
An ambulance was observed rushing from the scene with its lights activated.
Southbound traffic headed towards San Angelo is being slowed and down to one lane.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the crash or any potential injuries.
