DALLAS, TX — A former Dallas Cowboy has been arrested after allegedly causing a fatal crash.
Former second-round pick Kelvin Joseph, 25, was arrested after he was involved in a fatal crash in which a 27-year-old woman was killed.
About 5 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, Richardson police responded to a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 75. At the time, no other vehicles were located at the scene.
Then, about 5:40 a.m., Joseph contacted the Plano Police Department and informed them he had been involved in a crash.
When speaking with Joseph in person, officers observed signs of intoxication. Joseph was arrested and charged with DWI and crash involving death.
Joseph was booked into the Richardson City Jail, and he was released Sunday on $26,000 bond.
Joseph was with the Cowboys for two seasons before being traded to the Miami Dolphins. He then played for Seattle, Kansas City, Indianapolis and Minnesota, before landing with the DC Defenders in the UFL.
This is not the first time Joseph has been in the news as he was involved in a murder investigation but was eventually cleared.
