Blood Sheds After Sul Ross Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX — A two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Sul Ross Street and Jack Bates Drive on Friday afternoon left one man bleeding and both vehicles damaged.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. when the driver of a red GMC pickup failed to yield the right of way turning onto Jack Bates Drive, and struck a white Toyota minivan. San Angelo firefighters, medics, and law enforcement responded to the scene.

The GMC driver sustained a facial injury that left his shirt bloodstained. He was checked by medics on scene but declined transport to the hospital. Officers cited him for failure to yield the right of way.

The driver of the Toyota was also evaluated at the scene and did not require medical transport.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
